This month’s MY TOP 10 should have kicked off last Tuesday, July 20, 2010. The Anytime Fitness-Guadalupe Media Challenge was so all-consuming for me, that it was hard to keep up with everything else. I’m only now starting to play catch-up around here at popolio. I also didn’t have an artist secured for July 2010. So, local electro-popsters, A House A Home, were willing to pinch hit for me and step in. Because I’m behind, I’ll be posting two videos a day instead of one. About time someone did concept videos! Oh! The concept video. Much like the concept album except that the concept video rarely has anything to do with the song. Without them the world of music videos would be a mist of slow motion montages and Lady Gaga wouldn’t have much of a career. So, on this edition of popolio’s TOP 10 we pay homage to the concept video. Prepare for a healthy mix of nostalgia and bewilderment.
